1. Information we process
The information depends on the features you choose to use.
- Account information such as email address, sign-in identifier, display name, profile photo, language and profile details.
- Community information such as followers, teams, posts, comments, discussions, reports and preferences.
- Fishing information such as catches, species, measurements, equipment, photos, session notes and tournament submissions.
- Location information used for selected catch locations, session routes, nearby waterbodies and live tournament participation.
- Technical information such as app version, notification token, synchronization state, diagnostics, security events and crash reports.
- Sponsored-content information such as business details, campaign content, review status, payment status and delivery statistics.
2. Why we use information
- To create and protect accounts, provide app features and synchronize user content.
- To display content to the audience selected by the user.
- To operate sessions, tournaments, catch review, leaderboards and final results.
- To process sponsored-content review and payment confirmation.
- To prevent abuse and fraud, investigate reports and maintain service reliability.
- To send requested notifications and diagnose technical problems.
3. Location and map data
Location is used only for features that need it and when the required device permission is available.
- Background location can keep recording an active fishing session when the app is minimized or the screen is locked.
- Exact live coordinates are protected. Other users receive only the location view allowed by the selected Cast Share settings.
- Catch locations can be shared precisely, approximately or kept hidden.
- Tournament organizers and moderators may receive location evidence needed to verify a submission.
- You can stop a session in the app and manage location permission in Android settings.
4. Sharing with other users
- Posts, comments, discussions and profile details are shown according to their audience and account settings.
- Followers, selected people, teammates and tournament participants receive only the information needed for that feature.
- Publishing a session recap makes that recap visible to the selected audience; the private session record remains private.
- Official tournament results and public announcements may be visible throughout CastShare.
5. Service providers
CastShare uses established service providers to operate sign-in, cloud storage, maps, notifications, security, diagnostics and payments. They process information only as needed to provide those services and under their applicable privacy terms.
6. Retention and deletion
Information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to provide CastShare, maintain tournament and community integrity, meet legal obligations and resolve safety or payment disputes.
7. Children
CastShare is not intended for children who cannot legally use online services without parental consent in their country. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information without the required consent.
8. Legal bases and your rights
- Depending on the feature, processing is based on providing the requested service, legitimate interests in security and service improvement, legal obligations, or consent where required.
- You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection where applicable, and may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
- You may complain to the data-protection authority responsible for your country.
9. International processing
Some service providers may process information outside your country. Where required, CastShare uses provider commitments and legally recognized transfer safeguards.
