Depending on the features a user chooses to use, CastShare may process:
- account details such as email address, display name, and authentication identifiers
- profile information such as bio, team data, avatar, and community activity
- user-generated content such as catches, photos, comments, discussion posts, and tournament submissions
- location data when a user records sessions, catches, map features, or nearby water context
- device tokens for push notifications
- technical and diagnostic information needed to operate and secure the service
2. How CastShare uses data

- to show catches, sessions, events, tournament standings, and social activity inside the app
- to power maps, session routes, overlays, and nearby fishing context
- to support tournament administration, catch review, and results publishing
- to send app notifications chosen by the user
- to maintain security, prevent abuse, and investigate misuse
- to improve product quality and fix technical issues
3. Sharing inside the app
CastShare is a social fishing app, so some user content is intentionally visible to other users based on privacy and sharing choices.
- posts, catches, comments, tournament results, and discussion content may be visible to followers, event participants, or other users depending on the selected audience
- map and catch location precision may vary based on the privacy controls chosen by the user
- tournament organizers and reviewers may see submission details needed to validate catches and publish results
4. Third-party services
CastShare uses third-party infrastructure and SDKs to deliver app functionality. These may process relevant data on our behalf.
- Google Firebase for authentication, databases, storage, and messaging
- Google Maps and related Google Play services for map functionality and device location features
- Google Firebase Storage for hosted image delivery and app media uploads
- Stripe for sponsored ad checkout and payment status processing
